Jelly Hoskins was taking care of eight orphaned children when he ran into
trouble with the Lancer family. Jailed for stealing, he's offered a job
with Lancer to work off his fine.  The children find homes and so does
Jelly.  Jelly is a handyman who sometimes takes a hand in keeping Johnny
Lancer in line. They form a special bond of love and teasing.
