Or the Place I Call Home

 

I have lived in this area for over twenty years and am continually struck by its beauty and splendor.   I hope you enjoy this brief sojourn to the place I call home.

 

 

                    

These are pictures from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, taken just this last fall.  We were lucky and hit the peak of the fall color change.  This is the south-eastern part of the park, near an area called Cades Cove.  This was an area that figured slightly in a couple of my fan-fiction stories-- Planet of Wishes and Planet of Freedom.  A couple more shots below....
                               

The waterfall is very much off the beaten path, not even on the registers of the park.

 

                                                                                                                                                    Another thing that I love about living here is the beautiful sky.           Isn't the sunset gorgeous?
